Following SW versions are based on Juha Niinikoski’s SW version 1.05.
SW modifications are downward compatible so SW can be used in the unmodified JUMA TRX2A but certain features are not useable.

Versions below are unofficial experimental versions and should not be mixed with the official versions. Author of these versions is Jyrki Pitkanen (OH2JRY).

NOTE: SW installation may need BOOTLOADER reloading by ICD 2 debugger because the original BOOTLOADER may be corrupted.

Ohjelmistoversiot perustuvat Juha Niinikosken (OH2NLT) virallisen JUMA TRX-2A ohjelmiston versioon 1.05.

1.2e Version 1.2.1e includes all modifications of the version 1.2e in addition of the following changes:
  1. If Line-in mod hasn't been done, selecting LTX HW = Enabled, the problem with TX behavior is resolved.
1.2e Version 1.2e includes all modifications of the version 1.1e in addition of the following changes:
  1. Line TX software control added. New commands in the TRX2 protocol:
    • ”?L” is query
    • “=L1” is line TX on
    • “=L0” is line TX off (=RX on)

In configuration menu choices are: “LTX = Disabled”, “LTX HW = Enabled” and “LTX SW = Enabled”.

  1. When SW LTX is selected after HW LTX, TX may "get stuck" if no line-in mod has been done. PWR OFF/ON is the solution for this situation.
1.1e Version 1.1e includes all modifications of the version 1.05r in addition of the following changes:
  1. This version is based on the official version 1.06.
  2. Yaesu CAT read TX status command bug fixed .
  3. Low frequency BPF switch points changed for better performance. Lowest filter is changed in 300kHz and next in 600kHz. Others are as before.
  4. TX audio default filter changed from 2,678kHz to 2,586kHz.
  5. TX On/Off command added to JUMA-TRX2 protocol. See protocol.
  6. Version naming convention changed.

1.05r2 Version 1.05r2 includes all modifications of the version 1.05r in addition of the following changes:
  1. SCAF filter for TX: high frequency limit can be adjusted within the range of 800-3000Hz. Adjustment can be done "on the fly"
1.05r Version 1.05r includes all modifications of the version 1.05q in addition of the following changes:
  1. In SSB modes TX SCAF filtter min. frequency changed to ~800Hz (for digital modes).
1.05q Version 1.05q includes all modifications of the version 1.05p in

addition of the following changes:

  1. During SSB transmission transmitter SCAF filter can be adjusted by pressing long FILTER button. Filter can be adjusted from 1.5kHz to 3kHz. Default is 2.7kHz. Each memory channel has own tranmitter SCAF adjusment.
1.05p Version 1.05p includes all modifications of the version 1.05o in addition of the following changes:
  1. CW reversed info is saved on VFO memory.
  2. In Transverter mode “- TRVR –“ text will will shown instead of power bar.
  3. Serial port 2 can be used to control Voice memory or PA100 band. In AD9952 software version serial port 2 is used only for PA100 band control. Selection is done in Config menu.
1.05o Version 1.05o includes all modifications of the version 1.05n in addition of the following changes:
  1. Frequency will be loaded to DDS only when the frequency has been changed.
1.05n Version 1.05n includes all modifications of the version 1.05m in addition of the following changes:
  1. Each memory channel has own SCAF filter settings.
  2. Number of memories increased to 35.
1.05m Version 1.05m includes all modifications of the version 1.05L in addition of the following changes:
  1. Config page number will be saved in shut down..
1.05L Version 1.05L includes all modifications of the version 1.05k in addition of the following changes:
  1. Long press of the FILTER button will activate filtter width configuration.
  2. LOCK function is not available during configuration (CONFIG).
1.05k Version 1.05k includes all modifications of the version 1.05i in addition of the following changes:
  1. LOCK function will lock all buttons and the VFO knob except the PWR button.
  2. VFO mode (S/V) will be stored in shut down.
1.05i Version 1.05i includes all modifications of the version 1.05g in addition of the following changes:
  1. Number of VFO memories has been added to max. 30 and memories are now numbers instead of letters (1 - 30).
  2. Pressing the VFO button will change to the VFO "select" mode and the VFO memory will be changed using the VFO knob.In the "tuning" mode there is a text "V: " on the display and in the memory "select" mode there is a text "S: " on the display. VFO memory will be changed in the VFO "select" mode. VFO frequency will be changed in the "tuning" (V: ) mode. In the "tuning" mode the "Split" test will be shown in the split mode and the text "S: S" in the VFO "select" mode. Long press of the VFO button will copy content of the memory location 1 to the memory location 2 in the “split” mode. In the “split” mode the memory location 1 is used for receiving and the memory location 2 is used for transmitting.
  3. Filtter texts have been changed by the following way: WID -> W, MID -> M, NAR -> N.
  4. AGC speed information is now displayed on the upper right corner of the display. Long press of the RIT button will toggle the AGC speed (fast/slow). On the display "F" means fast and "S" means slow. In the "config" menu long press of the RIT button will do the same as in the SW version 1.05g.
1.05g The initial custom version based on official 1.05 software
  1. In VFO stepping rounding errors are fixed.
  2. VFO steps are now: S (10Hz), M (100Hz), F (1kHz) and F (10kHz).
  3. VFO memories include now filtter and AGC information in addition of frequency and mode.
  4. "Line TX" feature added to ease digimode transmissions. To use this feature hardware modification is needed (described in an other document). "Line TX" (LTX) feature will turn microfone gain to the line position and turn the audio compression off. During the "Line TX" operation the text "LTX" will be displayed instead of the "TX" on the display.
  5. Long press of the MODE button will toggle the SSB mode during the SSB operation (LSB<->USB). In the CW mode long press of the MODE button will toggle CW (LSB) <-> CW (USB). In the CW (USB) mode the text "CWr" will be on the display. The "CWr" is meant for special use and not stored in the VFO memory.
  6. Noise Blanker option in the config menu has been changed to the "TRVR Enabled" / TRVR Disabled" and used for the transverter control. This modification needs an addon HW board and has not any effect without the addon HW board. The transverter modification is described in an other document.
  7. RIT function is now +/- 4kHz.
  8. Long push of the RIT button will reset the position counter in the config menu to the AGC speed choice.
